CAPTION: Four months of dedicated effort on the part of Onaway civic leaders showed solid signs of paying off when 27 brand new industrial sewing machines arrived at the old Northern Garment clothing factory. Additionally, six employees were on the job to form the nucleus of what was planned as a minimum of 70 workers for the new company. Business leaders of the Onaway area were unanimous in expressing a hearty welcome to the new firm and conveying appreciation to those responsible for contacting the firm and inducing them to locate here. In other news, Terry Peacock, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ervigal Peacock of Onaway was to spend the summer in Mexico City as a exchange student under the auspices of the Youth for Understanding Program.
