CAPTION: Exterior work on the Onaway Methodist Church parsonage was halted during the winter months. The Rev. H. Emery Hinkstos said that except for the study leading off the garage, most of the interior work was completed. In other Onaway News, approximately 140 women and a sprinkling of men responded to an invitation to file applications for work with the Normandy Dress Company of Bay City, a garment manufacturing firm which was considering reopening the Northern Garment Company plant which closed in January 1966. Ray Joseph, manager of the Bay City firm, said he was pleased with the response; but the decision to locate in Onaway was waiting an evaluation of the written applications and other factors now being weighted by Normandy's board of directors.
