1989 - Ice Skaters Enjoy the Rogers City Ice Rink From Presque Isle County Advance and Onaway Outlook January 3, 2019

  
CAPTION:  Ice skaters swarmed over the Rogers City ice rink supervisor Joe Yarch when he came to 
check the ice Jan. 3, 1989. The rink was open from 4 to 10 p.m. during the week and 10 a.m. to 
10 p.m., Saturday and noon to 10 p.m., Sunday.  However, city manager Peter VonDrak said for 
safety reasons there would be no hockey on the main ice skating surface.  It would be confined
to the game area.
