Saturday, June 21, 1997
- I am looking for informatin about my grandmother. She used many names in
her lifetime. The ones that I know of are Elizabeth WAGNER, Betty WAGNER,
Betty PROWELL, Elizabeth VINCENTI. I know some of her family is named BEAN
and live in the area around Royal Oak, Michigan. She may have had a twin
sister. I believe she also had a daughter named Alvira. Alvira may have
changed her name to Hazel, possibly sometime in the 1930's. I believe Hazel
is my Mother and I would like to know about her. I think my best bet to try
and locate Hazel is through any birth records of children born to Elizateth.
Any info would be most welcome. .

- WHITMAN,
WIBERT posted by
Lee M. Wibert on Monday,
June 23, 1997
- I have been trying to trace my branch of the &Quot;WIBERT&Quot; family
past my grandfather to no avail. My grandfather was Sylvanius Malcomb
WIBERT, born 10/28/1848 or 1851, died 7/15/1915. My grandmother was May A.
WHITMAN, born 5/26/1861, died 1901. (I wasn't born until 1936, when my
father was 50 years old.) I don't know the names of my great- grandparents
and haven't any information about them. They would have lived in NY, OH, or
MI. I'd appreciate any information anyone may have. Also, my father, Chester
Arthur Wibert looked for years for a sister that there father, Sylvanius
kicked out of the house. She was 16 at the time, unwed and pregnant. I don't
remember her name. And Sylvanius tore her name and date of birth out of the
family bible, so maybe I never knew it to begin with. I do remember my dad
telling me the story and I know he looked for her. So naturally I have
wondered as he did, what became of her and the baby. If anyone has any
knowledge of what happened to her, please email me. Syvanius' other children
were: Alpha H. Wibert, Levi R. Wibert, Eva May Wibert, Malcolm H. Wibert,
Charley A. Wibert, and Hazel A. Wibert (who died at age 2).
