John Washington Meddaugh/Middaugh, and his wife, Mary Thibaudeau/Thibodo.  John W. Meddaugh received a land patent in that area for 160 acres, on October 30, 1857.  He had moved there at a young age, after being born in Canada in July 10, 1835.  His parents were Robert Middaugh/Meddaugh and Nancy Udell. There was an extensive newspaper article published in the Sanilac Jeffersonian on April 15, 1910, on John Meddaugh and his life in Worth Twp.

Mary Eleanor Parker, who was born in Carsonville.  Her mother was Suzannah Mary Thornton, whose family had emigrated from England.  Her father was John A. Parker, whose background I do not know yet.  Suzannah is buried in the Rebekah Home for the Aged in Jackson, Michigan.  John Parker is buried in the Pinecrest Cemetery in Oscoda, Michigan.  Mary moved to Oscoda at a young age, and there married Louis Elmer Meddaugh, who had been born in Croswell, Michigan, to John Washington Meddaugh

Here are two pictures of my grandfather's sawmill, and I'd sure like to know who the people are in the pictures and the approximate date. His name was Henry Gebhardt, and I believe the sawmill was somewhere on Goetze Rd. near Forestville.  If anyone has any information I would be very glad to hear from you.
