What township were your past family members in and what school did they go to? Very few of those old schoolhouses are left. Some have been turned into art studios, some privately owned and some turning into shambles a they deteriorate at the side of the road. The Brownell School is a museum at the Allegan County Fairgrounds, which you can tour in September when the Allegan County Fair takes place.
