MRS VERNA CHEAL, 80 TAKEN BY DEATH

Mrs Verna cheal, 80, a former rural Sunfield resident, passed away February
3, 1966 in a Charlotte hospital. Services were held Saturday at the Mapes-Fisher
Funeral Home in Sunfield at 3:30 p.m.

She was born October 13, 1885 in Sunfield Township, a daughter of Cyrus
and Julia (Reinsmith) Shaffer. Most of her life was spent in the Sunfield
area. for the last two years she was a resident at a Charlotte convalescent
home. She was a member of the Sunfield Church of the Brethren. Her husband
William, passed away in 1963.

The Rev. Charles Gibbs, pastor of the South Woodland Church of the Brethren,
officiated. Burial was in Sunfield Cemetery.

Casketbearers were Claude Van Blarcom, Delmond Frantz, Donald Collier,
Jesse Wise, Kenneth Haskins and Loyd Steward.
