She had suffered a long illness, having been confined to her bed nearly a year. The arrangements for the services have not been completed as we go to press. Grand Ledge Independent August 30, 1918 - page 1 OBITURARY Sarah Ann Sheren was born in Noble Co., Indiana, May 12, 1850. When a child she moved with her parents to Michigan and settled on a farm six miles southwest of Grand Ledge where she lived until her marriage to John Davis in the year of 1871. To this union seven children were born, Lorvilla and Anna who preceded her in death and also her husband. She leaves one daughter, Mrs George Sanborn of Grand Ledge, at whose home she died, Bert Davis of New York State, Fred Davis of Flint, Perry Davis of Roxand, eighteen grandchildren, also two brothers and two sisters, Hiram W. Sheren of Oneida, Thomas Sheren of Bay City, Mrs. Nancy Hazleton of Roxand and Mrs Henrietta Randall of Wexford Co., Mich.,besides many relatives and friends. Mrs Davis sickness was of long duration as twenty six years ago her health began to fail her and from that time she has been a constant sufferer which she bore patiently till August the 14th at 4:10 p.m., when she heard the call of death at the age of 68 years, 3 months and 2 days. Thus we are again laying away a loving mother, devoted wife and a good neighbor. Interment at Mulliken..
