Betsy E. Brown, 37, of 109 E. Brown St., Beaverton, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, in 
the Midland Hospital Center after a long illness. Born in Ypsilanti Feb. 26, 
1949, she moved to Gladwin County in 1984 from Ypsilanti. She was a member of 
the Skeels Baptist Church.
   Surviving are 3 daughters, Belinda Lay of Kentucky, Susan Morgan and Tammy 
Brown of Beaverton; her father, Claud McConnell of Westland; her mother, Irene 
Harris of South Carolina; 2 sisters, Rose Roach of Ypsilanti and Marcia Aten 
of Beaverton; and one granddaughter.
   Services were held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton 
Chapel. The Rev. George Coon officiated and burial was in the Beaverton 
Cemetery.
