Michael Anthony Kramer
December 15, 1893 – July 28, 1950
Harbor Beach, July 29 - Michael Kramer, 57, former farmer and sailor, died 
Friday night after an illness of three years.   Son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Fred 
Kramer, he was born December 15, 1892, in Minden City and came to this vicinity 
with his parents when he was a small boy.  He is survived by his widow, Phoebe, 
two daughters, Misses Johanna and RoseMary Kramer, and two sons, Frederick and 
Sebastian Kramer, all of whom live with their parents; two brothers, Edward and 
Anthony Kramer, both of Detroit and three sisters, Mrs. Edward Schulte, Port 
Hope, Mrs. Adolph Ullmann, Ruth and Sister Rose de Chantal, Adrian, Mich.  
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Lake Huron 
Catholic church.  Rev. James J. Marvin will officiate.  Burial will be in Rock 
Falls cemetery.  The remains are in the family home at 216 S. Huron Avenue.
Norma’s Notes:  Born to Frederick and Johanna (Swichert) Kramer on December 15, 
1893 (not 1892), according to the 1900 and 1910 census records and his WWI and 
WWII Draft Registrations.  Married Phoebe Spitza on August 19, 1924 in Harbor 
Beach, Michigan. Published: Unknown, unknown date.
