Janet Catherine (Hux) Visga January 27, 1940 - September 21, 1995 PORT HURON - Janet C. "Jan" Visga, 55, died unexpectedly Thursday, September 21, 1995 in Mercy Hospital Emergency Room. She was born January 27, 1940 in Port Huron, daughter of the late Martin and Mariel (Lashbrook) Hux and was a lifelong resident. She married Sylvester E. Visga February 10, 1958 in Port Huron. Mrs. Visga was employed for 13 years at Blue Water Area Transportation. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 796 and a member of Port Huron Cruisers Car Club. She is survived by her husband, Sylvester Visga Sr.; two daughters and sons- in-law, Carrie (Walter) Goeman of Ormond Beach, Florida and Dorothy (Kurt) Shultz of Fair Haven; four sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene (Alicia) Visga, Bryon (Patricia) Visga, Sylvester (Valentina) Visga Jr., and Mark (Tammy) Visga all of Port Huron; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; 14 grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Gloria (Pete) Smith of Marysville and Marcina Bullet of Port Huron; and a brother and sister-in-law, Elwyn (Alice) Hux. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard; brothers, Jack Hux, Norwood Hux, and Don Hux; and a sister, Roelyn Bolle. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave. at 17th Ave. The Rev. William C. Bixler, pastor of First Church of the Nazarene, will officiate. Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery. Visiting will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Pallbearers: Robert Kinney, David Kenney, Elwood Monzo, Dora Woodard, Linda Evans, Gordon Hickmock.
