Adams, 88, longtime resident of Belding passed away Sunday, September 5, 2004, at Spectrum Health United Memorial United Campus in Greenville. She was born on April 10, 1916 in Bayard, Nebraska, the daughter of Samuel and Ellen Gaffney Hampshire. Czerda worked as a certified welder helping to build gliders in Greenville during World War II. She was a member of the Belding American Legion Post 203 Ladies Auxiliary, the Belding VFW Post No. 4406 Ladies Auxiliary, and was a past member of the Moose Lodge. Czerda was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernest G. Adams, son Ernest E. Adams and brother James Hampshire. Czerda is survived by one sister, Thelma Adams of Grand Rapids, her nieces, nephews and many friends in the Belding area. In keeping with Czerda’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral services. Interment will be in Balcom Cemetery in Ionia. Memorial contributions may be give to a charity of ones choice. Funeral services were entrusted to Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home.
