Harold T. “Harry” Albert, 79, of Belding, passed away Thursday, May 30, 1996, at
his residence.  He was born Nov. 1, 1916, in Otisco Township to Theodore J. and
Margaret Feyan Albert.  

He was a lifetime farmer and was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Miriam, Holy
Name member, former  Kemp school board member, St. Mary’s Church Committee, and
a former member of the Ionia County Township Board of Supervisors.  

He was married April 26, 1938,  at St. Patricks Church in Parnell to Irene C.
Finn, and she survives with his children, Connie and Ken Neil of Hastings;
Richard and Jean Albert, James and Edna Albert, Lester and Barbara Albert,
Carroll and Vickie Albert; and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Albert, – all of Belding;
25 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law,
Catherine and James Byrne of Ionia; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and
Regina Albert of Waupun, Wis., Robert and Mary Albert of Belding; five
sisters-in-law, Virginia Albert of Belding, Mary Hendershot of Grand Rapids,
Ella Zahm of Grand Rapids, Louise Dietrich of Marne, Helen Finn of Rockford; one
brother-in-law, Gerald Finn of Bradenton, Fla.  

He was preceded in death by his mother in 1966, his father in 1973, and one son,
Ted Albert, on Feb. 24, 1996; two brothers, Leo Albert, in 1973 and Marion
Albert, in 1930.  

Funeral mass will be held Monday 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Miriam, with the
Rev. George Darling officiating.  Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. 
Visitation will be today from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4
p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Belding, with a vigil service
at 8:30 p.m. Sunday.  Memorials may be made to the Fr. Raymond Oosdyke Order of
the Franciscan Missions or the St. Mary’s Window Restoration Fund.
