Former Clarksville Woman Dies

Mrs. Eldiene Allen, 55, of 9221 State Rd., Nunica, passed away Wednesday evening 
at  St. Mary's Hospital, Grand Rapids. 

Mrs. Allen was born October 6, 1915, the younger daughter of Cecil and Sarah 
(Keller) Preston on M-50, southwest of Clarksville. She attended Pleasant Valley 
school and graduated from the Clarksville High School with the Class of 1932 
prior to attending Jackson Business University for two years. She was employed 
at the Pewamo State Bank and at Blackmer Pump Company in Grand Rapids before her 
marriage to Arthur Allen of Nunica, Sept. 29, 1945.

Surviving are her husband, Arthur; one daughter, June, at home; and a sister, 
Mrs. Clyde (Alice) Jackson of Lake Odessa. A daughter, Joyce, 19, preceded her 
mother in death three years ago.

Services were held at the Ottawa Center Chapel Saturday afternoon with the Rev. 
Richard Gordon officiating. Burial was in the Coopersville Cemetery.
