Albert Amsden died very suddenly at the residence of his brother in Corunna, on Friday evening. His daughter, Miss Alice, who had been there with him for a visit, left for home on the afternoon train leaving him apparently as well as usual, but when she reached Muir, a telegram awaited her saying that he had been stricken with paralysis and was dying. His remains were brought home on Saturday and the funeral services were held on Monday at the Baptist church, the Rev. McDonald officiating. The church was filled with the friends and relatives of the deceased. The masons and grand army also attended and took charge of the remains at the cemetery and he was buried with the usual ceremonies of the order.
