Mrs. Myrtle R. Arntz, 76, of 643 West Lincoln Avenue died at 1 a.m. Thursday 
at the Ionia County Memorial hospital after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage at 
her home Wednesday afternoon.

She was born in Ionia Oct. 23, 1874, the daughter of Harvey and Sara Dye.  She 
lived all her life in Ionia except for a few years in Bismarck, N.D., 
Aberdeen, S.D., and Grand Rapids.  She taught school in Ionia county for ten 
years.

She was married Dec. 30, 1903, to William L. Arntz.  She has attended and been 
active in the First Baptist church were she was a member of the Ella Hutchins 
circle.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Winnifred Bradley, who made her home with the 
deceased; a great-uncle, Robert Hall, of Edmore, a brother-in-law, Byron 
Arntz, of Vickeryville; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Nellie Arntz, of Vickeryville.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist church Saturday at 2:30 
p.m. with the Rev. William W. Pixley officiating.  Interment will be in the 
family lot, Oak Hill cemetery.  The body will be at the Boynton funeral home 
until noon Saturday.
