Ionia Standard – Friday, 8 April 1892
Orleans, April 6 – Again death has been in our midst; this time it claimed two 
old settlers.  Warren Babcock, departed this life March 30th, at the home of 
his daughter Mrs. L. Berry.  Funeral from Green church, Friday.  Mr. 
Chickering died very quietly at the home of his son, Sylvester, March 28th.  
Funeral from Free Methodist church, Wednesday.  Both were old settlers and 
leave many friends to mourn for them.
