The Ionia Standard, Friday, September 8, 1911

Mrs. Fred W. Bartlett passed away at the home in South Ionia at 5 o’clock on 
Friday afternoon, after a long illness and great suffering, but which she bore 
with an admirable courage.  She was born in the state of Maine and was aged 51 
years.  Her parents both preceded her to the great beyond, but besides the 
bereaved husband she leaves three sisters to mourn her death: Mrs. Hiram 
Pierce, Mrs. Horace Snobble, and Mrs. Glen Lawless, all residents of South 
Ionia, deceased being the eldest of the sisters.  She leaves no children.  
Funeral on Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock, from the late home, Rev. G. W. Moore 
officiating, with interment in Balcom cemetery.
