Excerpts from Ionia Obituary

Robert Lee Beard

Died July 10, 2026-age 80 of Cassopolis.        
Born July 4, 1940 in Lansing, MI, son of Richard & Ha (Mosher) Beard.
Robert served in the Marine Corp First Battalion, 9th Marine division during the 
Vietnam War.
He married Dollie Marie Brethour in 1967, she died in 2022.
Robert worked for General Motors for 36 years before he retired.
Survived by his sons, Robert (Leah) Bead and Bradley James Beard.
Grandchildren, Robert Joseph Beard, Amanda Camp & Cody (Amber) Parish, 9 great-
grandchildren, Siblings, Richard (Debbie) Beard, Valerie (Ron) Spitz, Leona Nick 
& Billy and Ron Lantis, and several nieces.
Cremation has taken place & there will be no services.
