Ionia County News, 23 Mar 1933

Mrs. George Bennett, 69, died at her home in Muir at ten o’clock Thursday
morning, March 23.  Although she had been practically an invalid for several
years she had been seriously ill only during the past three weeks.

Deceased was born near Boston, Mass., in September, 1863.  When she was two
years old her parents came to Pewamo, later moving to the Kendall farm northeast
of Muir, where Mrs. Bennet’s girlhood was spent.  She attended the Muir school
and early in life joined the Methodist church at Lyons, later uniting with the
Muir Presbyterian church.

She was united in marriage with George Bennet, attorney, on Muir on October 4,
1883, and moved from there to West Branch and later to Mio.  Last December Mr.
and Mrs. Bennet returned to Muir to reside.  They planned to celebrate their
golden wedding anniversary next October.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Bennet leaves a daughter Eva, Mrs. Harry Lott of East
Lansing, and a son, Ralph, of Detroit.

Funeral arrangements have not been made.
