The Portland Observer, Wednesday, July 12, 1899
The remains of Mrs. George Bishop (nee Lulu Bushong) were brought here from 
Cleveland on Wednesday last for burial.  They were taken to the home of her 
mother, Mrs. S. Whitney, where short services were held by Rev. D. E. Millard 
the same afternoon, the condition of the body being such that it could not be 
kept longer.  The cause of her death was heart disease and her death very 
sudden.  She had just eaten lunch Sunday evening and complained of not felling 
well and laid down upon a couch in an adjoining room.  Her husband going into 
the room soon after found her dead.
