Ionia County News, 30 May 1929

Bury Veteran – Lester Bowerman, 83 years old, a Civil war veteran was buried at
Lake Odessa last week, following a short illness caused by blood poisoning.  He
had been in Florida for the last two years where he had a residence, but
recently returned to his old farm home just north of Lake Odessa.  He leaves his
wife and one son, Ralph, who lives on the old homestead.
