Doris Gertrude Brewer

Died July 18, 2026-age 92 of Belding.
Born November 27, 1033 in St.Johns, MI, daughter of Clayton & Gertrude (Neller) 
Brewer.
Doris worked for MSU for 35 years as an administrative assistant. She loved MSU 
sports, and the Wharton Center for Performing Arts.
Doris enjoyed getting her hair done & going out to dinner, lunch or ice cream, 
traveling & spending time with her dogs.
She was a member of Ulters Gate Church & University Methodist Church in Lansing, 
& an active 4-H member in her youth.
Survived by her brother, Lyle Brewer. nieces & nephews, Randy (Jean) Curtis, 
Ricky Curtis, Brad (Denise) Curtis, Barry (Ann) Curtis, Brian Curtis, Greg 
Brewer & Laura Brewer Traux, and Great-niece, Melissa Curtis.
Preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Therah Curtis, Wilbur Brewer, and 
Dale Brewer.
Cremation has taken place & Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 22, 
2026 at 1:00PM at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
A visitation one hour before the service.
