Twin Lake (Formerly of Saranac) Mrs. Marvel Janeice (Bixler) Campbell, age 89, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2006 at Brookhaven Medical Care Facility in Muskegon, MI. She was born August 22, 1917 in Middleville, MI to the late George and Lena (Willson) Bixler. Before coming to Twin Lake, Marvel was a long-time resident of Saranac, MI. She was a Foster Grandparent for the Ionia Public Schools for 14 years. Surviving are her children: William & Florence Campbell of Riverview, FL, Roberta Hagen of Grandville, MI, Deanna & Ed Olsen of Twin Lake, MI, and Monte Campbell of Kansas; grandchildren: Beth & Ed Syme, Doug and Joanne Campbell, Ron & Karen Campbell, and Rob & Cathy Campbell, all of Florida, Erika & Dan Yonker of Hudsonville, MI, Tony and Jodi Hagen of Ionia, MI, Kelli & Brad Jelinek of Wyoming, MI, Liza and Chris Cavanaugh of Grand Rapids, MI, Lori & Will Zuwerink of Newaygo, MI, and Sidney Campbell who is currently protecting our country by serving in the National Guard in Iraq; great-grandchildren: Amber Syme & fiancé Patrick Vincent, Abrem Syme, Quinn Campbell, Emily and Regan Campbell, Lexi, Matthew, Lia and Aurora Campbell, all of Florida, Alexandra and Ryan Yonker of Hudsonville, MI, Karson and Kayla Hagen of Ionia, MI, Kevin Jelinek of Wyoming, MI; brother, Max & Melba Bixler of Dallas, TX; several sisters and brothers-in- law; many nieces and nephews; and special foster grandson, Jordy Haney of Freeport. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. You may honor Marvel’s memory by following her examples in life.
