Emory B. Chickering, prominent Otisco township farmer, passed away at his home
Saturday morning February 6, following 2 years of poor health, due to heart
trouble.  He was the youngest of four boys in the family of George Chickering,
being born in 1853.  Mr. Chickering was the father of 7 children, who together
with his faithful wife, Mrs. Laura E. McCoubrey Chickering, survive.  They are
Archie, at home; Mrs. John Reeves, of Orleans; Loren and George, of Belding,
Ethel and Howard, of Grand Rapids, and Walter.

Funeral services were held from the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. H.
S. Ellis officiating, and burial was in the Greene cemetery.
