She was born at Alberg, Vt., Feb. 8, 1802. Married to Lewis T. Clark at that place, Aug. 23, 1818, and with her husband came to Ann Arbor, Mich., in 1840, and to Portland in 1842, and resided here since then. Her husband was a soldier in the war of 1812, and was at the storming of Fort Erie, near Buffalo. He died in 1862. Mrs. Clark received a pension on account of her husband's services. Her funeral will be held at the Congregational church at 2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon. Her maiden name was Polly Soles, and she was s sister of David S. Soles, who was 92 when he died.
