Excerpts from Saranac Obituary

ANDREW P. CONNER

Died July 29, 2026-age 85 in East Lansing,MI.
Born July 5, 1941 in Grand Rapids,Michigan, son of Herbert W. & Hester Marie 
(Turner) Conner.
Andrew attended schools in Saranac, MI graduating Saranac High School in 1959.
He attended General Motors Institute, Lansing Community College, & Michigan 
State University,
Received his BA degree in 1964 & MBA in 1966 at Michigan State University.
While a student, Andrew joined the Business Office of the Physical Plant & 
became a full-time employee in 1967 and continue to serve the University's 
Physical Plant, retiring in 1999, as the Business Office Manager.
Married  on April 11, 1970 to Sandra Dosser Conner
He was talented in Woodworking & completed a roll-top desk that was featured in 
Fine Woodworking magazine.
He also completed complete renovation of his cottage on Spring Lake, South of 
Lakeview.
Also very talented in landscaping, & completed projects at his condo & cottage.
He was the Chairperson of the Hickory Hill Condo Association Landscape Committee 
& spent many hours each Summer working on the condominium grounds.
Andrew enjoyed the arts & attended events at the Wharton Center, those sponsored 
by the College of Music, MSU sports events & was a member of the Blue Line Club.
He was a member of Peoples Church in East Lansing.
Survived by his wife of 56 years, Sandra Dosser Conner, brother-in-law Dr. Larry 
Dosser of Centerville, Ohio, Cousin Dr. Jane L. Toot of Annapolis, Maryland, 
special second cousin Martha Digby of Annapolis, Maryland, other cousins & 
special friends.
Preceded in death by his parents & sister-in-law, Elaine Dosser.
No visitation or Services. He will be buried in Saranac, MI.
Those planning an expression of sympathy may consider a donation to 
Infrastructure Planning and Facilities for the MSU Physical Plant endowment Fund 
(at MSU, 535 Chestnut Rd., E.Lansing,MI 48824)
Also could be sent to a local animal Shelter or to a charity of one's choice.
Arrangements for Mr. Conner are under the direction of Lake Funeral Home in 
Saranac.
