Excerpts from Portland Obituary

M.ROSEMANY DAVARN

Died Sunday June 28, 2026-age 100 of Portland.
Born May 9, 1923 in Carson City, daughter of Dennis and Mary (O'Connor) 
O'Connell.
Rosemary graduated from Carson City High School in 1944.
She married Jack Davarn at St.Mary's Catholic Church in Carson City on May 21, 
1949,
She was a member of St.Joseph Parish in Pewamo and its Alter Society for more 
than 75 years and enjoyed helping at the church and participating with the 
St.Joseph Quilters and enjoyed playing Bridge.
Later years she volunteered at the Carson City hospital & working in her flower 
garden.
Preceded in death by her husband, Jack Davarn of 57 years, baby son James & her 
brothers & Their spouses. Tom (Dorothy) O"Connell, Pat (terry) O'Connell & Matt 
O'Connell, in-laws Bill (Bertha) Davarn & Jim (Jean) Cook.
Survived by her daughter, Mary (Patrick) Murhall, her son Tom (Lisa) Davarn, 
Granddaughters, Catherine (Casey)Schneider & Libby (Adam)Frizzle & great- 
grandchildren,Greyson & Addi Schneider, Carter Washington & Graham Frizzle; 
sister-in-law, Dee O'Connell & several nieces & nephews.
Rosemary lived in the same house in Pewamo for 72 years. 
Visitation will be at St.Mary's Chapel in Westphalia on  July 6, 2026, from 2-7 
p.m. with rosary being prayed at 1:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Darrel Kempt at 10:30 a.m. 
Tuesday, July 7, 1016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo, with family 
receiving visitors one hour before Mass.
Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Pewamo.
