William B. Davis, 84, Porter Hills Presbyterian Village, Grand Rapids, died
Thursday, Oct. 2, 1997.  

He is survived by his wife, Mary “Micky” Davis; three children, William B. Davis
Jr. of Portland, Suzanne Davis Sugar of Chappaqua, NY, Mary “Mimi” Sayre of Lake
Leelanau; six grandchildren, John Brooks Sugar, Jennifer Frawley, Michael Brooks
Davis, Justin Matthew Davis, Sarah “Cricket” Keene, Will Alexander Collins and
two great grandchildren.  

Mr. Davis was a graduate of the University of Michigan, a member of the Chi Psi
Fraternity, Belding Rotary Club, president of the Greenville Hospital Board,
founding member of Belding Fruit Sales, founding member of Sanibel
Congregational Church UCC, and life member of Belding Congregational Church. 

A memorial service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Meeting House Chapel of
Porter Hills.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Visiting Nurses
Hospice or a charity of your choice.  The family is being served by Metcalf &
Jonkhoff Funeral Service, Grand Rapids.
