The Ionia Daily Standard, Friday, October 9, 1914


Jay Davis passed away at his home in Lyons Wednesday noon, aged 42 years.  He 
was ill but a short time being taken Saturday with abscess of the brain.  He 
had been a resident of Lyons for six years and was employed by J. Hale & Sons, 
as driver of one of their teams.

He is survived by a wife, a son and a daughter; one brother, Geo. Davis, of 
Ovid; and two sisters, Mrs. Chas. Manning of Fowlerville, and Mrs. Lucy 
Suttiff of Alden.  The funeral was held today.
