Lake Odessa Wave - Times - February 18, 1921
          SPLENDID YOUNG MAN DIES AT BUTTERWORTH
   Forrest Dirr son of Andrew Dirr of this vicinity died at Butterworth hospital in
Grand Rapids Wednesday 
evening about 10 o'clock of enlargement of the liver, and heart trouble.
   Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Dirr went to Detroit last spring where they bought them a
home and Forrest began 
working in a factory.  Early in the winter Mr. Dirr being ill consulted physicians
in Detroit but seemingly 
received no help.  He came home about a month or six weeks ago and consulted several
physicians.
   About two weeks ago he went to Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids where he died
Wednesday evening.
   G. A. Weed was called immediately and his assistant, Walter Wortley, left about
four o'clock Thursday 
morning and returned about noon Thursday with the body.
   Forrest as everyone knew him was a genial, honest upright young man and won the
regard of everyone who 
knew him.  His wife and his family have the sincere sympathy of a large circle of
friends.
