Excerpts from Greenville Obituary

MARY BETH DORCH

Died Sunday July 26, 2026-age 83 of Crystal,MI passed away at Hathaway Hills 
Assisted Living in Greenville,MI.
Born November 1942 in Grand Rapids,MI, daughter of Willis A. & Mary E. 
(Krellwitz) Jepson of Ionia.
Beth attended St.Peter & Paul Catholic School,Ionia, through elementary & 
graduating High School with class of 1961.
She then attended Ursuline College, Louisville,KY, where she obtained a 
bachelor's degree in elementary education in 1965.
She taught first grade in the Louisville metro area.
Early in her career Beth married Tim Dorch, then left her teaching career to 
support her husband's career as they moved to various cities in the U.S. and 
abroad.
They had 2 sons, T.J. was born in Baton Rouge, LA.,and Christopher was born in 
Atlanta,GA.
Beth continued being devoted to raising her sons, pursuing short term work 
through temporary employment agencies.
Early 1990, after returning from abroad, she landed the job of her dreams with 
the Federal Bureau of Investigation, (FBI) in Newark, N.J., retiring as an 
investigative Analyst in 2011 after 20 years of service in counterterrorism, 
counterintelligence and various criminal investigative programs.
While living in Washington, CC. she played soccer for an adult women's soccer 
team in a Northern Virginia women's league.
After moving to N.Jersey, Beth helped launch & promote the Garden State Women's 
Soccer League.
She served statewide as Registrar for the New Jersey Soccer Association. In 
2007, Beth was inducted into the New Jersey Soccer Association Hall of Fame. She 
was the first women honored since the NJSA was created in 1913.
Beth also served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA Volunteer) for the 
NJ State Court system in protecting children in need & volunteer for the 
Community Food Bank of New Jersey.
Some time after relocating  to Michigan (Crystal Lake, Montcalm County) in late 
2016, Beth & Tim volunteered for 3rd Coast Labrador Rescue (3clr.org) of 
Michigan, dedicated to rehoming Labs in need. 
Beth spent many hours fostering, transporting & loving fur babies in her care.
Family will be forever grateful for the care Beth received a Hathaway Hills, 
especially the Memory Care Team & CorsoCare Hospice team during her final weeks 
& days.
Survived by her husbandTim Dorch; sons, T.J. Dorch (partner-Nathalie & 
Christopher (Catherine) Dorch; granddaughter, Brooklyn; & sister, Kathleen 
(Joseph)Kopchick. 
Preceded in death by her parents, Willis & Mary Jepson.
Cremation has taken place 
Private services will be held at a later date.
