Ionia Daily Sentinel, 6 Mar 1917

Charles Dygert, an old resident of Ionia, and very well known to many here, died
last night rather suddenly at the home of his sister, Mrs. Chas. Northrup, of
Lakeview, where he and Mrs. Dygert had gone some time ago to make their home. 
Mr. Dygert was about 67 years of age and resided in Ionia for many years, his
home being what is now the John Wagner home.  Two children, Fred and Marion,
died, and Mrs. Dygert is the only member of the family surviving.  Mr. Dygert
had been in ill health for some time but his death was not looked for.  The
remains will be brought here at noon Thursday and taken direct to Highland Park.
 Mrs. Dygert was Flora Smith, daughter of Myron Smith.
