Ionia Sentinel Standard, 30 Jun 1975

Ernest G. Edmonds, 78, of route 1, Bluewater highway, Muir, died early Monday
morning at Ionia Memorial hospital following an extended illness.  Born May 18,
1897, in Essex township, Clinton county, he attended the Clinton county rural
schools.

In February of 1918 he was married in Carson City to Louella Loudenbeck and they
lived in the Carson City area 12 years.  They have lived in Muir the past 41
years and attended the Muir First Christian church.  He was a retired
corrections officer at Michigan Training unit.

Surviving besides his wife, Louella, are a son, David of Muir, and daughter,
Mrs. Agnes Melvin of Muir; six grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Christian church of
Muir.  Rev. Roger Wright will officiate and interment will be at the Muir
cemetery.  Until time of services the body will be at the Hull Memorial chapel.
