Lake Odessa Wave - January 21, 1971
          JOHN O. EMORY PASSES AWAY
   John O. Emory, 62, former local resident, passed away last Thursday evening at
Michigan Veterans Facility 
in Grand Rapids, where he had resided for about four years.
   He was born April 4, 1908 in San Diego, Calif. and came to Lake Odessa from
Nashville about ten years ago.  
He was employed by Keeler Brass Co. while here.
   A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Army in the European, African
and Middle Eastern 
theaters.
   Surviving are a son, David of Lake Odessa and a daughter, Miss Pamela Jeane Emory
of Houston, Texas.
   Funeral services were held on Monday at 1:30 at Pickens Funeral Chapel.  Rev.
Paul Bennehoff of Grand 
Rapids officiated with burial in Lakeside cemetery.
