ADAM FENDER DIES AT HER HOME IN SEBEWA -------------- Mrs. Adam Fender passed away at her home in Sebewa Friday morning, February 11. Some three months ago Mrs. Fender fell, and since that time has not been well. About a week previous to her death she suffered a stroke of paralysis but the end came from apoplexy Friday morning. Mrs. Fender was the wife of Adam Fender, a highly respected citizen and politician of Ionia county. The funeral was held at the Sebewa Baptist church Sunday afternoon and burial was at Lakeside cemetery. She leaves a large family of children besides her husband. ---------------- OBITUARY Mrs. Louisa Sweitzer was bron April 22, 1854 in Wyandot county, O., and departed this life February 11, 1921, in Sebewa township, Ionia county, Mich., aged 66 years, 9 months and 19 days. She came with her parents to Michigan at a very early age settling in Sebewa township where she resided until her death. Having lived 47 years on the farm where she died. She was the daughter of Ferdinand and Henrietta Sweitzer. Other children of the family are her twin sister, Mrs. Lizzie Meyers of Lake Odessa, Mrs. Lovina Meyer of Fenton, Mrs. Sophie Synder of Reed City, and brother Wm. Sweitzer of Lake Odessa. She was married to Adam Fender in Woodland township, Barry county, June 9, 1874, with whom she shared the joys and cares of life for the past 47 years. She was a much devoted wife and loving mother always ready and willing to administer to the wants of others. To this union were born 8 children 4 having died at an early age and 4 living. those remaining are Dora M. Everest, Warren P., Nathaniel E. and Ray Fender. Besides the husband and children she leaves 9 grandchildren and a host of friends.
