Sentinel-Standard - Monday, Aug. 28, 1961

Funeral service for Mrs. LaVerne Flinn, 49, of 765 North Jefferson street 
was conducted Saturday afternoon. She died Wednesday morning in Butterworth 
hospital in Grand Rapids.

Bearers were Henry Robinson, Adrian Cobb, Wallace Perrien, Jr., Gerald Cox, 
Gerald Thompson and Forrest Sister. The Rev. Wilfred G. Sawyier, pastor of 
First Presbyterian church, officiated and interment was at Balcom cemetery. 

Out of town persons attending were Ms. Fern Beagle, Mr. and Mrs. Harold 
Peck, Robert Peck and Mrs. Lyle Gates of Union City; Mr. and Mrs. Richard 
Mason of Athens, Walter Case and Mr. and Mrs. Dell Pitts of Saginaw; Mr. and 
Mrs. Roy Doltoskie, Grand Rapids, Arnold Goff and Laura Goff of Lansing; Mr. 
and Mrs. Gordon Rowley of Belding, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Watts of Grand Ledge, 
and Mr. and Mrs. A.V. Meyers of Lake Odessa.
