June M. Fockler, of Ionia, age 66, passed away January 16, 2004. She was born 
on June 4, 1937 in Grand Rapids the daughter of Emmett and Anita (Chandler) 
Roche. Mrs. Fockler was always outgoing and friendly to people, never knowing 
a stranger. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great 
grandchildren as well as her church which meant so much to her. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin in 1988 and a infant 
daughter, Della in 1957. Surviving are her sons, Dan (Carol) Fockler of 
Sunfield, Jim Fockler and Mark Fockler both of Ionia; daughter, Penny (Dale) 
Jarman of Ionia; grandchildren Ace, Tia,Ashley, Ron, Tabetha, Jeremy, and 
Angela; great grandsons, Brandon and Bryan; siblings, Robert Roche of Florida, 
Vivian (Karl) Holther of Ionia, Nancy (Harold) Glasslee of Grayling, and Larry 
(Jessica)Roche of Ionia; Several nieces and nephews. 

The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Dennis Johnson, Wesleyan Pilgrim 
Church, Greenville at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at the Schrauben-
Lehman Funeral home Cook Chapel, 220 Rich St. Ionia. the family will receive 
friends 2-4 and 7-8:30 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, 
contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in memory of 
June M. Fockler.
