July 11, 2026 Frank J."Bud" Frost, age 96, of Lake Odessa,MI passed away Monday, July 6, 2026. He was born March 20, 1930 in Ionia County, MI, the son of Frank and Jessie (Stiles) Frost. He met the love of his life, Alta Mae Farrell in Ionia and was married October 7, 1949. He enjoyed living life at their cottage on Townline Lake in Lakeview. He enjoyed fishing at the cottage and also in Canada. He was a member of the Lake Odessa VFW Post #4461, past commander, past volunteer firefighter, farmer and former owner of Frost Heating. Bud was drafted into the Korean War and served 15 months and fought on the front line for six months as a sergeant leading his squad in the Army. he was loved by many especially his family. He was still telling stories of his life until the day he passed. He is survived by his children, Susan (Daniel) Rademacher of Mt. Pleasant, Dennis (Barbara) Frost of Lake Odessa and Sally (Jeffrey)Marshall of Greenville; grandchildren Jennifer Rademacher, Rebecca (Derek) Lewis, Jeremy (Amanda) Frost, Ashley (Douglas) Creighton, Jessie (James)Freed; great grandchildren, Avery and Jacob Lewis, Taylor, Beckett and Hazel Frost, Lucy and Annie Freed and Zayn Creighton; sister, JoAnn Schelter; sister-in-law, Bonnie Frost and by his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Alta Mae Frost; brothers, Jack and Jesse; sister Velma (James) Mutch; infant siblings John and Janet and brother-in-law, Don Schelter. Private family services will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa. The family would like contributions in Bud's name to be made to the Alta Frost VFW Scholarship Fund.
