ALICE GEARHART DIED SUNDAY
Mrs. Alice Mae Gearhart, 48, passed away Sunday morning at her home on Fifth 
Avenue after an extended illness.

A native of Belding she lived at Howell after her marriage, later moving to 
Vermontville where they spent 12 years before moving here 3 years ago.

She was a charter member and assisted in organizing the local Nazarene Church.

Surviving are her husband Floyd; three daughters; Lois, Janet and Frances at 
home; her mother Mrs.Nettie Stewart of Ann Arbor; five sisters Mrs.Adelaide 
Lewis of Ypsilanti, Mrs.A.E. Guise of Whitmore Lake, Mrs.Raymond Reader of 
Howell, Mrs.Arthur Kurtz and Mrs.Carroll Waite of Ann Arbor; two brothers 
Richard H.Stewart of Sioux City, Iowa, and Clarence A.Stewart with the U.S. Navy 
and stationed in Africa.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church with 
burial in Lakeside Cemetery.

Rev. Francis Haff officiated, assisted by Rev. Paul Robinson.
