Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 20 Sep 1937

James Haight, 86, died at the home of his stepson, Clarence Weyman, 1027 West
Main St., Sunday morning at 2 o’clock from a sudden heart attack.  Mr. Haight
was born in Ionia, August 8, 1851.  He was the son of John and Ollie Haight,
former Ionia residents.  He attended school at Woodard Lake and spent most of
his childhood in Ionia county.

He is survived by his wife Lottie, two daughters, Mrs. Merle Aldrich of Evart,
and Mrs. Anna Foster of Lakeview; one son, George of Battle Creek; one
step-daughter, Mrs. Lena Salter of Lansing, two step-sons Clarence Weyman and
Richard Weyman of Ionia; and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Bradley funeral home in Ionia Wednesday at
2:30 o’clock with Rev. Paul L. Stewart officiating.  Burial will be held at
Woodard Lake cemetery.
