Ionia Daily Sentinel, 20 Sep 1954

Amasa H. Hancock, 65, died Sunday, September 19, at his home in North Plains 
township, Ionia county, near Palo.

He was born November 30, 1889, and has been a resident of North Plains most of 
his life.  He was married to Maude Davis in 1910 who survives him.  

Surviving besides his wife are four daughters, Mrs. Maggie Strecker of Belding, 
Mrs. Lilah Heldabrandt of Route 1, Mrs. Genevra Harter of Carson City, Mrs. 
Frieda Gallagher of Hubbardston; three sons, Clifford of Greenville, James of 
Sheridan and Charles of Carson City; one brother, Jack Hancock of Lyons.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the M.E. church 
in Palo.  Burial will be at Palo cemetery.
