Mrs. Helen S. Hazel, wife of Oliver Hazel, passed away at 3:30 Saturday 
afternoon, at their home in Ionia.  Mrs. Hazel was 29 years old and besides her 
husband, leaves three small sons, the oldest being nine years of age, her 
parents, Mr. and Mrs. James H. Thompson, of Ionia street and her brother, Jay, 
are residents of this city. 

The funeral was held from the residence Monday afternoon and the remains were 
laid to rest in River Ridge cemetery in this city.

Transcriber’s Note:  There is a note with the obituary that burial was in the 
Old Belding Cemetery, not River Ridge Cemetery.
