Charles Joseph Heckman, aged 79, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014.   He was 
surrounded by his family and more love than he could ever imagine.  

He was born Sept. 19, 1934 in Saginaw, Mich.   He graduated from E. Tawas High 
School and retired from Parker Motor Freight.  

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Ellsworth, daughter and son-in-
law, Cheryl and Don Alexander and son-in-law, Roy Hawkins.  

He is survived by his wife, Lois (Molinosky-Whittington), his daughters, 
Catherine (Dave) Wisner, of Belding, Kimberly (Rick) Triplett, of Grand Rapids, 
Christine (Dean) Pampino of Mt. Pleasant, PA, Suzanne (Tim) Hendrick of 
Saranac, Pamela Hawkins and her special friend Jerry Beeks of Rockford, son, 
Craig (Kathy) Whittington of Grand Rapids, 18 grandchildren and 23 great 
grandchildren, sister, Louise Duve of Saginaw, brother, Raymond (Darla) Heckman 
of Kawkawlin, special aunts, Ann Bush and Agnes Bush of Saginaw.  He is also 
survived by his sisters-in-law, Eleanor Shimmel of Ada, Milly Diamon and 
Marilyn (Bill) Talcott of Saranac.  

He loved God and Thornapple Valley Church, gospel music, sports and the White 
Caps.  His TV only played two channels, sports and country music.  

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Zaagman Memorial 
Chapel, 2800 Burton St. SE, Grand Rapids, with Rev. Jeff Arnett officiating.  
Friends may meet with the family at the funeral chapel Saturday from 12 to 1 
p.m. prior to the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to the 
Thornapple Valley Church or Spectrum Hospice.
