Mrs. Fred Hiar died at her home in Danby early Monday morning. She had been sick since October 28th with lung trouble. Besides her husband she leaves six children, Charles, 19, Ralph, 17, Mae, 15, Clarence, 12, Sarah Bell, 8, and Alton, aged 2, one sister Mrs. Charles Thomas of Pontiac, and several brothers, Albert Tundgeon, Granada, Colo; Joseph Tundgeon, Houston, Texas; Ernest L. Tundgeon, of the U.S.S. Columbia; Charles, at Camp Custer, and Phillip and Frank, with the American expeditionary forces overseas. Miss Lillie Tundgeon was born in Durham, England, February 23, 1881, and came to the United States with her parents at the age of two years. She was married to Mr. Hiar September 29, 1897. Besides many relatives she leaves many friends to mourn her loss. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the house, with burial following in the Danby cemetery. Rev. E.E.
