Born September 17, 1948, daughter of William Royal & Greta Louise (Underwood) Hecht Sr. in Ionia. Barb Barb attended Saranac High School, and later graduated from Grand Rapids Central Central. Barb married Gregg Hotchkiss on July 8,2000, in Ionia. She enjoyed riding & raising Arabians, camping, fly-fishing, Hiking & bicycling before she had a stroke. Also played softball, pool & on a bowling league for many years before a stroke. Barb became a mentor to persons recovering from strokes at Mary Free Bed. She watched & fed the birds and chickens in her yard. She enjoyed watching the kids & grandkids sporting events, & Loved camping with Gregg. She was a member of the St.Andrew's Catholic Church in Saranac. Surviving is her husband Gregg Hotchkiss of Saranac, daughter, Angie (Troy) Stanton of Saranac & son, Ralph Reagan of DeWitt. Stepchildren,Jamie (Robert) Murray of New York, Ky Hotchkiss of Grand Rapids & Lance Hotchkiss of Edmonton, Alberta. Grandchildren, Brandon (Tanna) Stanton, Morgan (Dillion) Antoine, Audrey, Mason, Max & Nora Reagan, Matthew, Ben(Ansley) Arden, Marie Claire & Natalie Murray Angela Peel, Jordan & Alicia Hotchkiss, 14 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great grandchildren,Brothers, William Hecht Jr. & Tom (Joy) Hecht of Saranac. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Gary & Mike & grandson Ashton. Visitation will be at the Lake Funeral Home, Saranac on Tuesday, June 30th, 4-7 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Saranac on Wednesday, July 1st at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing may make a memorial contributions to "Bikes for the Rest of Us" at Mary Free Bed in Grand Rapids.
