Lake Odessa Wave - April 6, 1950
          FORMER RESIDENT DIES MONDAY
   Marion (Dutch) Hummel died at a hospital in Battle Creek Monday.  The family
resided here on a farm before 
moving to Vermontville about 25 years ago.  Mrs. Hummel died about three years ago.
   Surviving are eleven children, Mrs. Tom Erridge of Ionia, Mrs. Ray West, Mrs.
Guy, Richard, Roy, Allen and 
Glenn all of Vermontville, Rosie Hummel at home and Mrs. Lyle Hallard of Pontiac.
   Funeral services were held Thursday (today) at 2 p.m. at the Wards funeral home
at Vermontville with burial 
in Lakeside cemetery.
   Mrs. Charles Edwins (Opal Harvey) is a granddaughter of the deceased.
