Sentinel-Standard - Saturday, April 27, 1935

Mrs. Sarah Jackson, 435 Harter street, 84, widow of Henry Jackson, died 
Saturday morning at 6:30 following an illness of several months. Mrs. 
Jackson fell and broke her hip last fall and she had never fully recovered. 
She had been seriously ill for about three weeks.

She was born October 10, 1851, at Harley, Ontario, the daughter of Mr. and 
Mrs. John Wedge, and when a girl she came to Michigan with her parents' and 
they located in Ionia township. She was married to James Harlow, of Ionia, 
and after his death she remarried October 14, 1876, to Henry Jackson, of 
Ionia. After the death of Mr. Jackson in 1916, she moved from Ionia township 
where she had resided for over 40 years, to Ionia and for the past 16 years 
she has resided in the same house on Harter street.

Surviving are six children, Mrs. George M. White, Grand Rapids; Mrs. Frank 
Livermore, Detroit; Andrew Jackson, Ionia township; Miss Ella Jackson and 
Wallace H. Jackson, 435 Harter street; and Walter Jackson; Grand Rapids; one 
brother, John W. Wedge, Burford, Ontario; 13 grandchildren and eight great 
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held from the Stone funeral home Monday afternoon 
at 3 o''clock with Rev. Paul L. Stewart, pastor of the Church of Christ 
officiating. Interment will be at Highland Park cemetery.

The body will be at the home, 435 Harter street, until Monday morning.
