CLEVE R. JORDAN DIES AT DETROIT
   Cleve R. Jordan 68, of Detroit, former local resident passed away December 27 at
the Highland Park 
General Hospital, Detroit, where he had been a patient six days.
   He was born at Beaverton, the son of Birney and Lucy Jordan, and the family
resided east of Bonanza after 
moving here  Cleve attended the rural Bretz School and graduated with the class of
1917 of the local high 
school.  He was also a graduate of Albion College.  In 964 he retired from the
Chrysler Corporation, where he 
had been employed since graduation from college.  He served in the purchasing and
administration at 
Chrysler until he retired and once then he had been with the Howell Industries of
Detroit as a special sales 
representative.
   Funeral services were held December 30 at the Alfred E. Crosby Chapel in Highland
Park with burial in 
Lakeside cemetery, Lake Odessa.
   John Ingram of Hastings, a cousin, is the only survivor.
