Lyons Herald, 20 Dec 1917

Miss Catherine C. Kirby died at the home of Mrs. Thurza Howe in the village, 
Thursday, Dec. 13, 1917, aged 17 years, 11 months and 10 days.  She is survived 
by a father, three sisters and five brothers.  Brief funeral services were held 
Saturday evening, Rev. G.A. Brown officiating and the remains taken to St. Johns 
for burial.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was 
buried in Ashley Cemetery.]
